"Change is inevitable, growth is optional"

-John C. Maxwell

I would have never thought that the decision to pursue architecture would bring so much positive change in myself, and that I'd be travelling beyond the comforts of Malaysian soil.

In July 2006, I enrolled in the Department of Architecture of University Malaya (UM). This year saw me travelling to Vienna and Prague, allowing me first hand experience of the beauty of European Art and Architecture. In 2008, I was given a leadership opportunity as i was appointed female representative of the UM cohort  for the month long University Malaya + National University of Singapore joint programme in Kuching, Malaysia and Singapore. In between academic travels, I've always made time for personal trips to explore various cultures and experiences. The likes of South Korea, Jakarta and Thailand were countries I'm happy to have been acquainted with.

In 2009, prior to graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, I was among the 10 selected for the University Travel grant which gave me the chance to join the University of Southern California (USC) in visiting and documenting the 5 provinces in China; namely Beijing, Xi'an, Shanghai, Dunhuang and Suzhou.

After graduation, I joined NWKA Architects as an Assistant Architect/ Project Architect. In this position I was involved with various project categories, participated in design competitions and was responsible for drawing submissions to local councils. I was also entrusted to liaise and participate in clients/ consultants meetings.

In 2010 I went on to the University of Tasmania, Australia to pursue my Master in Architecture. I've recently relocated to Brisbane, for want of warmer climate and to fulfill my creative dreams.
